  13. For Kadhi:
  14. 1 and 1/2 cup Yoghurt
  15. 2 cups Water
  16. 3 tbsp Besan
  17. 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  18. as per taste Salt
  19. 1 tbsp White Oil
  20. 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  21. 2 Cloves
  22. 1 small stick of Cinnamon
  23. 1/2 tsp Coriander Seeds
  24. 1 pinch Methi Seeds
  25. 3 Dry Red Chillies
  26. 1 tsp Ginger Paste
  27. 1 tsp Green Chilli Paste
  28. 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder

Steps to make to make Punjabi Pakora Kadhi

  1. To make the Pakoras: combine everything very well to make a thick batter.
  2. Heat White Oil in a Kadhai.
  3. Take 1 tsp of Batter to make the pakoras and fry at medium heat till golden brown at all sides.
  4. Drain the pakora’s excess oil in paper napkin.
  5. To make the Kadhi: whisk Yogurt, Besan, Water, Salt, Turmeric Powder together very well.
  6. Heat White Oil in a smaller pan.
  7. Add Cloves, Cinnamon, Dry Red Chillies and Cumin, Methi, Coriander Seeds to it and sauté it for 1 minute.
  8. Add the Besan Mixture to it.
  9. Add Red Chilli Powder, Ginger and Green Chilli Pastes in the mixture.
  10. Cook at low heat for 10 minutes stirring continuously and keep it aside.
  11. Just before serving the Kadhi add the Pakoras to it and cook them at low to medium heat for 2-3mins.
  12. Garnish with chopped Green Chillies. That’s it you are done.
