  3. 1/2 kg yogurt

  7. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds zeera
  8. 1 1/2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
  9. 1 teaspoon turmeric powd
  10. 1/2 tablespoon Kashmiri lal mirch
  11. To taste Salt
  12. 3 cup water
  13. For the Pakoras 2 cups gram flour besan
  14. to taste Salt
  15. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  16. 1 cup water as required to make the batter
  17. 1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds
  18. 1 teaspoon kashmiri lal mirch
  19. 1 green chilli chopped
  20. 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  21. 1/4 cup fresh coriander chopped
  22. For the Tadka
  23. 1/4 cup oil
  24. 1 small onion thinly sliced 3 garlic cloves thinly sliced
  25. 4-5 sabut lal mirch whole red chillies
  26. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  27. 8-10 curry patta

Instructions to make to make Kadhi pakorha

  1. Making kadhi : In a blender, add gram flour, yogurt and water. Blend until smooth. Be careful not to blend too much though, just until you get a smooth batter.
  2. In a large pot, heat the oil. Add the kadhi patta, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  3. Add the turmeric powder, Kashmiri lal mirch, and salt. Stir.
  4. In pot,add oil,curry leaves,cumin seeds,ginger garlic paste and mix well
  5. Add 1/4 cup water and cook for 2 minutes or so.
    Now add the gram flour yogurt mixture, and mix well.
  6. Bring to a boil, cover and cook on low flame for about 2 to 2.5 hours while stirring in between.
  7. Making Pakoras : In a medium pot, add gram flour, salt, baking soda and mix well.
  8. In a medium pot, add gram flour, salt, baking soda and mix well.Gradually add water and mix well to form a smooth batter
  9. Add coriander seeds, red chilli powder, green chilli, onion, and fresh coriander and mix well.
  10. In a wok, heat the oil and fry the pakoras until cooked golden and crispy.
  11. Transfer the fried pakoras to the kadhi, and cook on medium heat for about 8 minutes or so.
  12. Making Tadka : In a frying pan, add the oil, thinly sliced onion and fry until translucent.
    Add the garlic and fry for a few seconds.
  13. Add whole red chilies and mix,add cumin seeds,curry leaves and mix well.
  14. Now transfer the tadka to the kadhi pakora and serve with rice or roti.
